How does the brain understand flavor?
The majority of flavors are perceived by olfactory receptors, an essential part of our olfactory system. WATER UP owes everything to retronasal olfaction! Indeed, it is thanks to this process that we can flavor water without adding anything to it. Our bottles, especially our Pods, infuse the air you inhale with each sip, providing a completely new hydration experience. The receptors in your nose interpret this inhaled air as flavored water, even though it isn’t flavored at all!
What is the duration of a Pod?
The pods we offer are designed to infuse at least 5 liters of water, equivalent to 8 refills of our 650 ml bottle. Considering a daily consumption of 1.5 liters, a set of 3 pods will provide autonomy for at least 10 days.
Is this beneficial for health?
Absolutely! WATER UP encourages better hydration by making water consumption more enjoyable without adding sugar, artificial sweeteners, or calories. Since the flavors are perceived through retronasal olfaction and not through added substances, there are no negative effects on metabolism or blood sugar levels.
